The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells

Compering "The Invisible Man by H.G. Wells" and "The Strange Case Of Jekyll And Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson".

  • One of the similarity's that both books share is the fact they they are both in the horror genre.
  • They both have science involved,  In "The Invisible Man" there is a scientist called Griffin who researches optics and invents a way to change a humans refractive index to air so it cant absorb or reflect light and becomes invisible. In "The Strange Case Of Jekyll And Hyde" science is used to create the potion that makes Jekyll transform into the evil Hyde.
  • "The Invisible Man" was published 11 years after "The Strange Case Of Jekyll And Hyde" was.
  • Both books involve strange/evil people.
  • I think the books tell us that in the 18th century people that were out of the ordinary were not accepted. They were very religious so they were scared of science and they didn't not agree.
"Invisible Man" by Queen

The song talks about how he's never had a friend and that people see right through him. I don't think this is meant to be taken literally. I think it is a metaphor meaning that the man is lonely and people don't acknowledge his existence. He didn't feel like he had a place in society.
